This is a known issue when severl plugins hook into the_content filter in WordPress.

I have tried to find a suitable workaround (spending many hours doing so) and have failed to find a solution so far. If I ever figure it out I’ll be sure to let you know

Other plugins keep showing up in the sidebar widget with your subscribe2 plugin. I am running wp 2.0.5. This has happened with 3 or 4 other plugins. The latest is the “share this” plugin (see left sidebar on the site).

If you have any ideas on how to fix this now or in the future, please let me know.

Christiaan,

Public subscribers will get notifications of all posts, even the new categories. Only Registered users can opt in or out of certain categories – one of the benefits of becoming a registered subscriber.

Hiya, thanks for the quick response (sorry for the double posting), but it only appears to let me subscribe registered users, not plain subcribers.

And it even says “Existing Registered Users can be automatically (un)subscribed to categories using this section.”

You’ll be pleased to hear that this functionality is in the plugin.

Go to Manage -> Subscribers and scroll to the bottom of the page. In the Bulk Management section choose the new categories you want to subscribe your users to and then click subscribe. Job done

I’ve got a lot of historic subscribers to my email list. The problem is I then created a whole lot of categories for my blog, something I’ve been meaning to do for ages. This is a problem because Subscriber2 doesn’t appear to give you any way to subscribe non-registered subscribers to the new categories.

I really need to do this because none of them are subscribed to any of the categories that I use. Is there any way to do it?

There is an issue with Butonsnap and the latest versions of WordPress. The TinyMCE parts of the WordPress code have been updated and now buttonsnap doesn’t work.

It looks like buttonsnap may go into the WordPrees core code but until it does we’ll be without buttons

The link in Options->Subscribe2 should be:

/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=subscribe2/subscribe2.php

Is this what you are seeing? What version of the plugin and WP?

Clicking on Subscribe2 in the options menu results in an error. The last part of the page being called is subscribe2subscribe2.php. Obviously an error in the button link but how to fix it?
